Finally, a down day!

It is an ironic habit of human beings to run faster when we have lost our way. — Rollo May

I was shocked to discover, upon waking up and checking my calendar, that I had NOTHING scheduled for today. Sure, plenty to do (there is always writing that needs to be done, and house-hold chores), but still. Nothing scheduled? How… nice. So, on this day of pseudo-rest (as I will be working, cleaning, and running errands, but in a leisurely manner), I can reflect on this crazy-busy week behind me. Beginning with Sunday morning, when I visited KUSI to chat with the lovely Kristen Cusato. That was fun. I had no idea they were going to show one of my videos, and my family actually took it in stride, especially Jenny, whose tongue was highlighted. My niece, Bella, was ecstatic to see herself on TV, and asked that Nana rewind it so she could relish the moment over and over. Must be hereditary. Monday was Memorial Day, and after working for a handful of hours, a small crew and I went to our friend Sara’s house for a bar-b-cue with a bunch of restaurant industry folks, including the chef and some staff from one of our favorite restaurants in town. Tuesday I did actually have plans to do one thing, but ended up doing another, and for the life of me, because it’s not on my calendar, I can’t freakin’ remember. No matter. Because Wednesday was the big web site launch party for the Reader! And there are a bunch of pictures from the event RIGHT HERE. And Josh Board wrote a little crasher-like blog update about it HERE.
