Twitterific Shit
I’m a little laggy on the update front, but give a bitch a break, it’s been a busy week. First off! I wrote, in detail, about the wedding I attended at the Wild Animal Park, of the lovely Rebecca and the charming Charley, both of whom I had never before met in person. My wedding invitation came by way of Twitter, and you can read all the juicy details in my article this week, called WILD WEDDING. Of course, there is a video to accompany this piece, and as the bride and groom are both actors and incredibly sweet, and the wedding took place at the Wild Animal Park, I highly recommend clicking the play button:
It’s been a busy week on the media front. Yesterday morning I stopped by NBC studios to share my thoughts on a recent event held in Cardiff, where dogs were in charge for a day. Here’s the video clip:
I was also up early this morning to go on KOGO talk radio to talk about my column, and about meeting people online. See, I met David online, we met the bride and groom online, and they met each other online. It’s a big web-love-fest. And people say online social networking leads to isolation. Quite the opposite, in my opinion. It wouldn’t have been a big deal to wake up sort of early, except I was up late last night, after waking up pre-dawn yesterday. Last night I went to see Wicked. I sat in the first row, that was fun, as I’d both never sat there before (I usually prefer mezzanine, think it gives me the best overall view, though I must say it was awesome to be right on the stage) and because I was convinced I was in the third row. I wrote a short review of the show on the ticketmaster web site, but gist is, great costumes, great voices, great acting, great stage design, sucky music and lyrics. Wouldn’t go again, but had a great time, and happy I went.
On a personal note: My father is still in Korea, and I miss him. Tomorrow evening, I will see the rest of the fam at my nephew’s 5th birthday party (and tomorrow is his actual birthday). Speaking of birthdays, mine’s coming up, and I want to do something extra fun, so if you have any ideas, shoot me a line, I’d love help brainstorming. As if I don’t have enough outlets and forums to air my thoughts, I recently joined Chowhound, so I’m looking forward to talking to all you fellow foodies on there. I’m about to go write a review right now, and add another entry on my favorite San Diego restaurants. So enjoy the videos and the article (I hope), and I’ll try not to be so laggy in future. Oh! I’m also working on a redesign of my site, hoping to make it even simpler. If you know of any cool templates or sites that you love, again, please do not hesitate to shoot me an email.
