Daddy’s Girl
I had a lot of fun planning my father’s 60th birthday, mostly because I know Dad is the type of guy who doesn’t expect anything, like really doesn’t expect it, and is truly delighted and bowled over when people go out of their way to show him they care. I wrote a bit about the weekend, and his reaction to it in my column this week, called MARKING A MILESTONE. And I made a video that shows the highlights from his party on Sunday, which you can see right here:
This weekend, I’m heading up to L.A. for a few days, for some art fair. David’s work is still hanging at Kopeikin Gallery, and the fair is on that street or the street over, I’m not sure yet. Guess I’ll find out in a few days. Speaking of trips, I’m getting really excited for my next “away.” David and I will be on the east coast for a few weeks, first in the Hamptons, and then Martha’s Vineyard, where he has a show at the Granary. We’re hoping people are in the mood to buy some art. In the meantime, I’ve been spending tons of time micro-blogging on Twitter, as you can see in that box to the right, and Facebook. Those will be the end of me, all that time I could spend reading or whatnot. But oh, it’s so much fun! When I’m not dicking off, I’m still co-hosting a weekly radio show, and all the podcasts for those are RIGHT HERE, a new one added every week. I’m on a hiatus from my television spot, but that will resume in July. A lot of work, a lot of fun, and life is good.
