Manly Barb

That is, if you think building shit is “manly.” In my column this week, I wrote about how I, yes I, assembled our new grill, the one David’s been cooking on all week (those food pics I posted on my FB page). This was the first thing I’d ever put together, and I didn’t do half bad. You can read my short account of the experience right here, it’s called ASSEMBLY ACCOMPLISHED (thanks to a last-minute decision by an editor, as my original title was “Erection Gene”). And I made short video to prove I’m not pulling your leg. Stick around at the end for the gratuitous sparkly red toe wiggle:

If you’re around tomorrow morning, please tune in, because I’ll be LIVE (with video) with David Coddon for an hour at the Amplify SD studios. 11 a.m., tomorrow (Friday). Hop on, give a listen, or even better, CALL us and say hello. Let me know if my lipstick is still on. The other radio show, the one I will be hosting on KOGO, is scheduled to begin next Wednesday. Now for a little social update…

It seems that every hour I am not working, I have filled with social engagements. This both delights and concerns me. Girl needs her down time, and that is something I just don’t get nowadays. Last night, after crunching all day to finish my video and then write and send my Your Week feature, I hopped in the shower, donned my feather comb, and left for Anthology, for a mixer, where my friend was helping out her chosen charity, Friends of Scott. From there, I went home to scoop up David and take him to Starlite for a late dinner. While there, our party of 2 grew to a party of 5 for continued merriment. By the time I got home, around midnight, I was exhausted — the upside, aside from all the fun of socializing, is that my feet held up great in my favorite pair of black, red-bottomed stilettos. ;) And now, I’m on to other things.
