The nighttime zoo was so much fun! I saw a big-ass panda playing HIGH in a rickety looking tree. In the dark. The hyenas came close, the fur on their backs standing on edge like mohawks. Three little horned four-legged animals (I’m still studying the names of different species) went horn to horn and head to head in a mock battle. I saw some crazy bugs in the insect house that I never thought I’d encounter outside of the nature channel. The hippos performed ballet beneath the water, and I inadvertently pissed the fuck out of a monkey. Don’t raise your brows at them, I mean it. Oh, and there was so much more, I can’t even think straight. It was a balmy evening, perfect for strolling. I have some photos that I will post soon.
