Yoga story & video

Gadzooks, I am WAY behind on updating my “Stories” section. Luckily, they’re all up to date on the Reader web site, but I’ll have to get on that pronto. Well, here’s the LATEST for you, this week’s column is called CHILD’S POSE, and you are correct if you guessed that that was a yoga term. I did it, I tried yoga, and I lived to tell the tale (though I had a horrific ass cramp for a few days). I made a little video of the place I went to, and instructor Robert demonstrates some advanced yoga moves in the video:

Yesterday was a busy one, up early to get my weeklies turned in, then downtown for a meeting before the Historical Resources Board (blah) to offer my two cents as to why they should allow the tenant who will be taking up the entrance of the Egyptian building to add a low glass wall for the outdoor seating area. The decision was eventually made in favor of the tenant, which is a good thing, because that space has remained empty since the goddamn building went up over three years ago. It will be nice to have this place feel, for once, like a completely inhabited building, and not a vacant space seemingly designed for loitering randoms. Oh no, I went old lady on you. Sorry ’bout that, let’s talk about something more interesting.
