First and foremost, TODAY is my sister Jane’s BIRTHDAY! David and I are putting some finishing touches on our gifts to her and will be seeing her this afternoon. This morning we called and sang a duet Happy Birthday song to her (I think we’re getting better at that, this one wasn’t as painful as past renditions).

I posted a NEW ALBUM of nine photos in my photo section (and plan to post new albums with greater frequency). In this random collection of recent shots, you can see Amy and Kristen at Laurel, my adorable niece Olivia at Target, the roses my beloved brought home yesterday, and the fabulous meal he prepared for us on Friday night — speck-wrapped scallops with caramelized apple wedges and mashed yam, served with a crisp white blend called Evolution. Life is good. Last night we enjoyed dinner out at Vincent’s in Escondido with a good friend. Yummy on all accounts! I’m working hard to get ahead because I leave this Thursday for L.A. and probably won’t be home now until Monday the 10th. I’m very excited for this adventure. But I’m bummed that I’ll be without my love for four nights. We like to be together. Attached at the hip and all that, after 5 1/2 years we are more in love and giddy about “us” than ever. No update on the Mini front, I don’t know what the hell is taking so long. So, as you can see, just a few brief updates, and I’ll share more soon! And hopefully more photos as well. Happy Sunday!
